Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that plays a vital role in our brain’s reward system.

It is responsible for the feelings of pleasure and happiness we experience when we engage in activities that we enjoy, such as eating delicious food, playing video games, or watching our favorite TV shows.

However, sometimes we can become addicted to these activities, leading to harmful behaviors and a negative impact on our mental and physical health.

For the longest time, I was getting these toxic dopamine hits and I couldn’t focus on the things that mattered.

The Ting, Ting, Ting…

Phone notifications have become an integral part of our daily lives.

From work emails to social media notifications, our phones buzz and beep constantly, demanding our attention. I felt I had to view any notification that hit my home screen immediately.

The constant to and fro of my focus impacted any kind of work I was doing. It also created pressure that I had to reply to anyone’s text or call as soon as possible.
