Growing slowly is better than being stuck in the same place.

Developing real-world applications takes a lot of effort and can often be frustrating.

I have seen many beginners (including myself) running away from large-scale applications because of self-doubt and fear of failure. We often delay starting our project when we feel that we will fail.

But in contrast, once you start it, it gets more straightforward than you imagined it to be.

A majority of doubts lie in your mind and not in your skills. It is necessary to get out there, identify them, and get better.

Here are a few mindset shifts that helped me grow in my developer journey —

1. Getting Out of My Comfort Zone

I used to run away from any new technology.

I wanted to keep doing what I had learned and not expand my area of expertise. I wanted to go deep rather than go wide.

But, no matter if you are working as a freelancer, in a startup, or a large tech company, you can't always stick to a single tech stack. You need to be adaptable and take on challenges head-on.
