Three Books So Good That I Will Gladly Them Twice or Even Thrice
Or maybe even more.
You know that feeling when you turn the last page of an incredible book, sigh deeply, and think, “Wow, I wish I could experience that for the first time all over again!”?
There are a few books that I gladly read multiple times and actually have read them multiple times.
Siddhartha
by Hermann Hesse
The story unfolds the spiritual journey of Siddhartha, a young Brahmin in ancient India, as he seeks the true meaning of life and ultimate enlightenment.
From the very beginning, Siddhartha’s restless spirit leads him to question the teachings of the elders.
He ventures out, exploring various paths — from the ascetic life of the Samanas to the teachings of the illustrious Buddha, and even the pleasures of the material world.
Yet, with each experience, he realizes that true wisdom cannot be taught; it must be lived.
The river becomes a central symbol in Siddhartha’s journey, reflecting the ebb and flow of life, the interconnectedness of all things, and the timeless nature of existence.
