You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.

You must have made a few new-year resolutions like everyone else. But, research shows that most people derail from their resolutions by the 17th day of the new year.

This is important as people tend to set unrealistic goals and fail to build their habits. They think that the early motivation can carry them for a long time.

They feel that they can wake up at five even though they have a habit of waking up at nine just because they have set up a resolution.

No, I'm not saying that you can't do it. But, it is a lot tougher if you don't build self-discipline and a system to help you.

1. Create Rituals, Not Goals

Trying to change everything in your life at once is difficult. Create rituals that you follow religiously.

Habits and rituals hire us forever and take us higher, whereas goals tame us and leave us clueless after we achieve them.
